Job Title: Auto Electrician (Buses)
Location: York
Salary: £39,000 – £44,000 per year
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Electrician to join our team working on buses in York. If you’re passionate about automotive electrics and want to work in a supportive environment with a strong focus on safety and efficiency, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on buses and coaches.
- Conduct regular electrical maintenance and inspections.
- Install and test electrical systems and components, including wiring, lighting, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team, ensuring minimal downtime of the fleet.
- Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, ideally with buses, coaches, or large vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Full UK driving licence (preferably with a D1 category).
