Job Title: Class 1 Driver

Salary: £50,000 per annum basic salary
Hours: 4 on 4 off days and nights

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Rainham, London. As a key part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations in the UK, ensuring a high level of service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections
- Transport goods safely and securely, adhering to all UK traffic regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate any delays or issues to the transport manager
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling of freight
- Adhere to driving schedules and deadlines, managing time effectively to meet delivery requirements
- Ensure high standards of customer service at all delivery points, representing the company professionally at all times
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving license
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving Class 1 vehicles, with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management and communication skills
