Are you an experienced Dealership Accountant looking for a new challenge in a professional and supportive environment? We’re seeking a skilled Dealership Accountant to join one of the Channel Islands’ most established automotive groups, based in Guernsey. Key Responsibilities:
- As the Dealership Accountant, produce accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reports in line with Group deadlines.
- Monitor and report performance against budgets with clear variance analysis—core duties for any successful Dealership Accountant.
- Manage cash flow and funding facilities, ensuring full compliance with Group and bank agreements.
- Oversee key dealership assets including debtors, stock, and funding—a vital part of the Dealership Accountant’s role.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning as a proactive Dealership Accountant.
- Prepare finalised annual accounts and liaise with auditors confidently.
- Handle statutory reporting including PAYE, Social Security, and GST/VAT.
- Manage payroll, bonus, and commission schemes.
- Ensure optimal use of the Autoline (Keyloop) Dealer Management System—essential for any modern Dealership Accountant.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a Dealership Accountant.
- Solid understanding of motor trade KPIs and dealership operations across Sales, Service, and Parts—knowledge every top Dealership Accountant must have.
- Proficient with Keyloop (Autoline) DMS and Microsoft Office.
- Ideally experienced in PowerBI or similar MI tools.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills expected of a high-performing Dealership Accountant.
- Confidence in advising senior management and working independently.
