Our Dursley depot plays a crucial role in our network, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Depot Manager to drive performance, efficiency, and team success.
Role Overview: As Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring smooth, cost-effective, and compliant logistics activities. You will lead a high-performing team, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all depot operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage and develop a team of drivers, warehouse staff, and administrators to ensure high performance and morale.
- Drive operational improvements to enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and service levels.
- Ensure health & safety, vehicle maintenance, and site security standards are met.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with senior management to align depot operations with overall business goals.
- Manage budgets, costs, and resources effectively to maximize profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

- Knowledge of transport compliance, fleet management, and health & safety regulations.

- Experience in a fast-paced logistics, distribution, or transport environment.
