Salary: £70,000 basic | £100,000 OTE | Permanent, Full-Time

A leading automotive dealer group is seeking an experienced Automotive General Manager to lead a high-performing dealership in Burton upon trent. This senior role focuses on driving new and used car sales performance, supporting aftersales profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Role Overview The General Manager will:

• Lead and motivate the sales management and aftersales teams
• Maximise sales revenue, profitability, and departmental performance
• Ensure FCA, financial, and legislative compliance
• Maintain outstanding dealership standards across operations, stock management, and customer satisfaction
• Report directly to the Brand Director

Skills and Experience Required

• Automotive General Manager or Head of Business experience within a franchised dealership
• Proven success managing sales and aftersales departments
• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
• Excellent stakeholder, communication, and leadership skills
• Analytical approach with a passion for delivering results and exceptional customer service

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and exceed all KPIs and business targets
• Oversee new and used vehicle operations, including stock and display standards
• Ensure full FCA and internal compliance with regular auditing
• Drive high CSI scores and customer retention levels
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve operational goals
