Heavy Plant Engineer – Mobile Role
Location: Southampton (Covering Surrounding Areas and assisting in workshop when required.)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Basic DOE + Overtime + Company Vehicle
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to join our clients team, based from their Southampton depot and covering the surrounding areas in a mobile capacity. This role offers a competitive salary, overtime opportunities, and a company vehicle.
The Role:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.
- Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service while attending breakdowns and carrying out scheduled maintenance.
- Complete all necessary documentation and reports efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, including excavators, dump trucks, bulldozers, and telehandlers.
- Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
