The Role of the HGV Auto Electrician
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Electrician / Auto Electrician to join a busy and well-established engineering team working on modern bus and coach fleets.
This is a great opportunity to work in a safety-critical transport environment, maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Auto Electrician

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on HGV / PSV vehicles
• Work on wiring systems, CANbus, multiplex systems and ECUs
• Carry out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
• Support with vehicle diagnostics to minimise downtime
• Respond to in-service defects and breakdowns where required
• Complete job cards and compliance documentation accurately
• Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and company standards

 
What We’re Looking for from the HGV Auto Electrician

• Previous experience as an Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician
• Experience working on HGV, PSV, Bus or Coach vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to health & safety and high-quality standards
