Job Description We are looking for a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician seeking a stable, day-shift role with competitive pay. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of HGVs, ensuring they meet all safety and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and inspection paperwork.
- Collaborate with team members and assist with larger repairs when needed.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- A valid HGV Class 1 or 2 license (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
