HGV Technician – Workshop Based Location: Thrapston
Salary: Up to £24 per hour | £56,160 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a secure, well-paid workshop role with excellent work–life balance? This is a great opportunity to join a well-established operation in Thrapston, offering strong earning potential, flexible working hours, and long-term stability.

The Role You will be responsible for maintaining a modern mixed fleet in a fully equipped workshop environment.

• Service, maintain, and repair a mixed HGV fleet including Mercedes, Scania, and Volvo
• Work on a range of trailers including single, double-deck, and flatbeds
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and MOT preparation
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and fully compliant with safety and legal standards

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week
• Flexible start and finish times:
  • 6:00am – 3:30pm
  • 7:00am – 4:30pm
  • 8:00am – 5:30pm
• Optional Saturday mornings as and when required

Requirements

• Level 3 HGV / Vehicle Maintenance qualification preferred
• IRTEC accreditation preferred (training available if not held)
• Class 1 (C+E) licence advantageous but not essential
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• A professional and reliable approach to work
