HGV Technician – Workshop Based
Location: Crewe
Salary: Up to £24 per hour / £49,920 per annum

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a secure, well-paid workshop role with excellent work–life balance? This is a great opportunity to join a professional and well-equipped workshop in Crewe, offering long-term stability, flexible hours, and strong earning potential.

The Role You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern mixed fleet of HGVs in a workshop-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs (Mercedes, Scania, and Volvo)
• Working on a range of trailers including single, double-deck, and flatbeds
• Vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and fault finding
• MOT preparation and safety checks
• Ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and fully compliant with DVSA regulations

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week
• Flexible start and finish times:
  • 6:00am – 3:00pm
  • 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Optional Saturday mornings (as required)

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in HGV or Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
• IRTEC accreditation preferred (training available if not currently held)
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
• Class 1 (C+E) licence advantageous but not essential
