Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £23.33 per hour + £2000 joining bonus
Shifts: Nightshift 38 hours per week

The Role of the HGV Technician
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy depot working on a modern fleet of buses and coaches (PSV).
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
 
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on PSV vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete defect repairs and breakdown rectification
• Perform brake, suspension, engine, and gearbox work
• Conduct MOT preparation and safety inspections
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
• Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and company standards
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced depot environment

 
What We’re Looking For from the HGV Technician

• Experience as an HGV / PSV Technician or Mechanic
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on buses or coaches (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to health & safety and quality standards
