Location: Preston
Salary: £21 to £23 per hour + Overtime
Hours: 40 hours per week with various Shifts including straight days.
 
The Opportunity for the HGV Technician
We are seeking a motivated HGV Technician with experience on PSV and coach fleets. This role involves servicing, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant.
 
What You’ll Do as HGV Technician

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on buses and coaches
• Perform diagnostics on engines, electrical systems, brakes, and suspensions
• MOT preparation and fleet compliance inspections
• Support junior technicians where required
• Record job completion and maintain workshop documentation

Requirements of the HGV Technician

• Level 3 qualification or time-served HGV/PSV experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with HGV, bus, or coach maintenance
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Full UK driving licence
