HGV Technician – Bus & Coach Engineering
Location: Edinburgh
Pay: £22.96 per hour
Hours: 37.5 Hour Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and highly respected public transport engineering team in Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern fleet of buses and coaches within a professional workshop environment offering long-term stability, strong earning potential and ongoing training.
 
The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• MOT preparation and vehicle safety checks
• Brake, suspension, steering and engine repairs
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently
• Completing all job cards and workshop paperwork accurately
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA standards
• Supporting fleet availability and operational reliability

 
What We’re Looking for from the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician or LGV Technician
• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on buses, coaches or commercial vehicles preferred
• A positive attitude and strong team ethic
• Full UK driving licence preferred
