Hours: 4 on 4 off
Salary: £53,000 + Overtime + Benefits
 
We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / PSV Technician to join the engineering team of a leading international passenger transport operator.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern fleet within a busy, well-equipped workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards.

The Role of the HGV Technician

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs).
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
• Work closely with the Workshop Chargehand and Engineering team.
• Support apprentices and promote safe working practices.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop.

 
What you’ll need as the HGV Technician

• City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience working on PSV, Bus, Coach or HGV vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A Full UK Driving Licence (PCV Licence desirable but not essential).
