HGV Technician – Brentwood
Location: Brentwood
Salary: Up to £60,060 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (7:00am – 12:00pm)
HGV Technician Required We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-equipped workshop in Brentwood. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician to join a respected national commercial fleet business that genuinely invests in its technicians through funded training, career development, and excellent earning potential.

The Role As an HGV Technician, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring maximum reliability and compliance with DVSA regulations.
HGV Technician Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with DVSA standards.
• Maintain accurate workshop documentation.
• Work collaboratively within a professional workshop team.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic.
• Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles and/or trailers.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
