HGV Technician – Part Time
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £17.00 – £22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Working Pattern: 4 days per week
Days: Monday–Thursday OR Tuesday–Friday

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in Welwyn Garden City.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Technician looking for part-time hours and a better work-life balance, with the flexibility to work either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.

You will be responsible for carrying out the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of HGVs, ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and remain safe and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Identify faults and carry out effective repairs
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
• Complete relevant paperwork and maintenance records

About You

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Reliable and safety-conscious
• Relevant HGV/Heavy Vehicle qualifications are desirable
