Job Role: HGV Technician
Location: Leicester
Pay: £24.00 – £27.00 Per Hour
Type: Temporary – 12 Week Minimum Contract – 40 Hours Per Week
Additional Info: Inside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop on an initial 12-week temporary contract.

You will be working on a varied vehicle fleet, carrying out inspections, defect diagnosis and repairs to ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

The Role

HGV Technician duties will include:

• Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying defects
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs
• General servicing and maintenance
• Ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant
• Working across a varied municipal fleet including: HGVs, Vans / LCVs, Trailers, Cars, RCVs / Refuse Collection Vehicles, Plant and equipment

Requirements

HGV Technician candidates should have:

• Level 3 qualification in HGV or Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or a relevant IRTEC qualification
• Strong experience within commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
• Time-served technicians with extensive relevant experience will also be considered
• Experience working with a mixed fleet would be advantageous
• Own Tools and transport
