The Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of heavy goods vehicles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our vehicles are serviced to the highest standards, adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
- Perform diagnostics using the latest equipment to identify and rectify faults.
- Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure all work meets DVSA standards.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to maintain an efficient and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering clear communication about repairs and maintenance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician in a main dealer or similar environment.
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (Class 1 HGV License preferred).
- IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential.
