Mechanical Fitter – Workshop Based – Witham Area

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established team based near Witham. This is a workshop-based role, ideal for candidates with a background in HGV or plant maintenance. Will include machine inspections & repair, welding / fabrication experience required also. 

What’s on Offer:

• £20+ per hour DOE
• Plenty of overtime available
• 39-hour working week
• Permanent role with excellent stability

Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for:

• Conducting inspections on lorries and plant machinery
• Carrying out defect rectification and mechanical repairs
• Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
• Performing fabrication tasks, including welding and metalwork

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with HGVs, plant, or similar heavy vehicles
• Fabrication/welding experience is essential
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs confidently
• Team player with a strong work ethic
