Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Location: Durham
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 OTE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Overview:
We are currently looking for a Mobile Forklift Engineer to cover the Durham / DH postcode area. This is a field-based role carrying out maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on a range of forklifts and related equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and maintain forklift trucks and materials handling equipment
- Attend breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis
- Complete all job-related paperwork and service reports
- Provide a high standard of customer service and maintain professional conduct on site
- Manage your own schedule and parts ordering where required
Requirements:
- Mechanical background (e.g. plant, HGV, automotive, agricultural, or similar)
- Good fault-finding skills – hydraulics, electrics, or diesel systems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
