Night Shift Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Location: Glasgow
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £34,000 basic salary, with OTE of £43,105 – £46,330, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 7:00pm – 5:30am

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Night Shift Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their busy and professional workshop in Glasgow.
Working alongside a team of experienced technicians, you will play a key role in carrying out vehicle health checks, servicing, diagnostics and repairs, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician or experienced Mechanic looking for a permanent night-shift position with a well-established automotive business.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology
• Complete vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer requirements
• Diagnose and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
• Complete additional repairs once authorised
• Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
• Complete accurate job cards and all relevant paperwork
• Conduct road tests to ensure faults have been correctly identified and rectified
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
• Work effectively as part of an experienced night-shift team

Our client is looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience working within a workshop environment
• Good attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A professional and reliable approach to their work
• A full UK driving licence
