Job Title: SHEQ Manager
Location: Didcot
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Overview:
My client, a leading manufacturer, are looking for a dedicated SHEQ Manager to oversee safety, health, environment, and quality practices across several sites in the south of England. You will play a key role in helping teams work safely and efficiently while meeting all legal and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety, health, environment, and quality efforts on various projects
- Help prepare and review safety plans, risk assessments, and work procedures
- Carry out regular site visits to check compliance and identify improvements
- Investigate incidents and recommend ways to avoid future problems
- Support teams during project planning and start-up phases
- Keep up to date with relevant laws and standards and make sure they are followed
- Work closely with managers, staff, and external agencies to maintain good practices
- Provide guidance and training to help staff improve safety and quality
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in SHEQ roles, ideally within construction, demolition, or civil engineering
- Good understanding of safety, health, environmental laws and standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Relevant safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH
- Right to work in the UK
