Vehicle Technician
Location: Kenilworth
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Are you a skilled Automotive Technician with a passion for classic and vintage vehicles? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical workshop in Kenilworth that specialises in the restoration of historic cars, dating from 1920 to 1967.
This is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals in a fully equipped workshop, complete with engine and chassis dynamometers. The company is known for its exceptional craftsmanship and is looking for a technician who shares the same commitment to quality and detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair classic petrol engines, including carburettor fuel systems and distributor ignition systems
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting on traditional vehicles
- Engine rebuilding and restoration work
- Work with traditional electrical, transmission, braking, and suspension systems
- Apply sound engineering judgment to resolve technical issues
- Collaborate effectively within a team of skilled technicians
Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of traditional petrol engines, carburettor systems, and distributor ignition
- Experience working on and restoring classic vehicles
- Proficiency in engine rebuilding and traditional automotive systems
- High attention to detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 28 days annual leave
- Competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
