Vehicle Technician – Wellingborough – Independent Garage – £45,000 – £52,000

• Monday – Friday 8am-5:30pm
• Lunch 1 hour 
• Passenger & commercial 
• Electric Vehicle (EV) Training levels 1- 4 for specific roles
• Accreditations Provided

This is a hands-on, heavy mechanical role for a real “nuts and bolts” Technician who enjoys getting stuck into the bigger jobs.

You’ll be carrying out work including:

• Gearbox and clutch replacements
• Timing belts, including Ford wet belts
• Timing chains
• Engine removal and replacement
• General heavy mechanical repairs and diagnostics

Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role are:

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ City and Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance / Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / City & Guilds Automotive
• Have experience working within a car dealership or an independent garage/ car supermarket
• Completed your MOT tester course class 1, 2, 4 or 7
• Experience of working on commercial vehicles/ LCV / cars
• Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but if not training will be provided

 
Key responsibilities for this Vehicle Technician role are:

• Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard
• As a Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic you will carry out all work completely and effectively
