Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000 + Bonus Scheme
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Day Shift
Overtime: Paid at time and a half

We’re looking for a Workshop Foreman to lead a dedicated team of engineers in a clean, well-equipped workshop environment. - Workshop Foreman – Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations in the workshop, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Lead, support, and mentor a team of plant fitters and engineers
- Carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery (excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, etc.)
- Allocate jobs and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and company standards
- Maintain accurate records, including job cards and service documentation
- Liaise with management on workshop performance and areas for improvement
Workshop Foreman – Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with construction or heavy plant equipment
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience (even informal) is desirable
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and maintain high standards
