The Role
As a Yard Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the presentation and readiness of a modern fleet while supporting workshop operations. The position suits a hands-on Yard Assistant who takes pride in high standards and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough external washing and internal valeting of fleet vehicles
• Complete pre-delivery checks to ensure vehicles meet high presentation and safety standards
• Support vehicle movements within the workshop and yard
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment at all times
• Assist with general housekeeping, including welfare facilities
• Support deliveries and collections to local service providers and occasional customer sites

Health & Safety

• Follow all safe working practices, risk assessments, and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free working environment
• Report and address any safety concerns promptly

About You

• HGV Class 2 licence (minimum) with Driver Qualification Card
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Customer-focused with a positive attitude
