Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Pay: Up to £26 per hour | Up to £60,840 Basic

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team based in Bishop’s Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with strong earning potential and added benefits.
The Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a specialist fleet of bitumen tankers used in road surfacing operations. The fleet includes leading brands such as MAN, Scania, and Volvo.
Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 6:00pm
• 45-hour working week

Pay & Benefits

• Up to £26 per hour (depending on experience)
• Up to £60,840 basic salary
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• Company van provided (work use, can be kept at home)

Additional Information

• Vehicles operate day and night, so occasional night callouts may be required
• No formal callout rota – callouts are infrequent and handled on an as-needed basis
• All callouts are paid at overtime rates

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
