Job Title: HGV Mechanic

Salary: £55,000 per annum
Shift: Early and Late Shift Rotation, Monday to Friday
Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team in South Molton. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum. The successful candidate will work on a rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts from Monday to Friday, ensuring the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy goods vehicles to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGVs.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Conduct thorough inspections and ensure all vehicles comply with DVSA standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job sheets and service documentation.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and management regarding vehicle status and any required parts or equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or equivalent is preferred.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- License: A valid HGV driving license is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on a rotating shift pattern, including early and late shifts.
