Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team in Birmingham on a night shift schedule. This position offers a competitive annual salary of £48,000, along with the chance to work with a well-established company in a professional workshop environment. As an HGV Mechanic, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet’s reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).
- Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance checks to reduce the risk of breakdowns and extend vehicle life.
- Compliance & Safety Checks: Ensure that all vehicles meet safety standards and adhere to legal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and services for audit and compliance purposes.

Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, with strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently during night hours.
- License: HGV license preferred but not essential.
