Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team in Lancashire. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per year and the stability of Monday to Friday day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, using both manual and electronic tools.
- Carry out MOT preparation and testing.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used and time taken.
- Collaborate with the team to manage workload effectively, ensuring all vehicles are serviced promptly.
- Communicate with management regarding any additional work required on vehicles.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, with a strong understanding of HGV systems and components.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Full UK driving licence, with HGV licence preferred but not essential.
