HGV Technician – West Thurrock Salary: Up to £23.37 per hour (£51,040.08 basic)
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 / 08:00 – 17:00
Overtime:

• Saturday: x1.5 (£35.06ph)
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: x2 (£46.74ph)
  Top OTE: £60,155.68 (based on 5 hours overtime per week)

About the Role We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Technician to join our team based in West Thurrock. You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a mixed fleet of HGVs, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and remain roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
• Complete all job cards and documentation accurately
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Work effectively both independently and within a team environment

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
• A proactive and professional approach to work
