Job Title: HGV Technician – Up to £56K OTE – Fleet Maintenance Location: Brentwood
Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Overtime available at 1.5x rate (Most technicians work until 6 PM)
Salary & Benefits:
- Up to £20 per hour – £41,600 basic salary
- OTE up to £56,000 per annum with overtime
- Company van and fuel card provided
- 21 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Class 1 training provided
- IRTEC Licence training
The Role: As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they remain in safe and roadworthy condition. Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs to DVSA standards
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on a range of vehicles and trailers
- Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and breakdowns
- Conducting MOT preparation and presenting vehicles for testing
- Completing job cards and service records accurately
- Ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and to high safety standards
- Supporting the workshop team and mentoring junior technicians when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced HGV Technician – Fleet maintenance experience preferred
- Will consider Level 2 qualified or time-served technicians
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Class 1 licence desirable but not essential (training provided)
