About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Mobile HGV Technician to join our team in Bournemouth. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum and a Monday-to-Friday day shift, ensuring an excellent work-life balance. As a Mobile HGV Technician, you will provide on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for a wide range of heavy goods vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs to ensure roadworthiness.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Attend breakdowns and provide timely and efficient roadside repairs.
- Conduct pre-MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out, including service records and inspection reports.
- Order and manage parts efficiently to ensure minimal vehicle downtime.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
- Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role.
- Full UK driving license (essential).
- HGV license (desirable but not essential).
