Mobile Plant Engineer
Location: Barnsley & Surrounding areas
Salary: £19-21 p/hr DOE + Overtime – Paid Door-2-Door
Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a strong background in heavy plant machinery? Join a family-run business based in Harlow, where your expertise will be valued and rewarded.
The Role:
- Service and repair heavy plant machinery at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with support from the service team and technical experts.
- Manage parts ordering and report submissions, including work hours and updates.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience with heavy plant machinery, including:
- Wheeled Loaders
- Excavators
- Track Loaders
- Shredders
- Screens
- Waste Handlers
- Familiarity with brands such as Case Construction Equipment, Terex Ecotec is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of engine aftertreatment systems (SCR, DPF).
- Competent in electrical circuits, IT, and literacy skills.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Quarry Passport and Passport to Safety (preferred).
- Air Conditioning certification (preferred).
The Package:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week).
