Our client is looking for a driven and experienced Service Manager to lead a busy aftersales department in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while driving team performance.

🔧 About the Role
As Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service department and workshop, ensuring operational excellence, high levels of customer satisfaction, and strong financial performance.

📋 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the service department and workshop
• Lead, coach, and develop Service Advisors, Workshop Controllers, Technicians, and support staff
• Maximise workshop productivity, efficiency, and labour utilisation
• Ensure repairs are completed to the highest standards
• Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns
• Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and audits
• Promote Health & Safety and maintain a safe working environment

🛠️ What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Service Manager within the automotive industry
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Commercial awareness with a results-driven approach
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing workshop performance and departmental KPIs
• Knowledge of manufacturer systems is advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence
