Job Description: Vehicle Technician Location: Basingstoke, UK
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week
Salary: £42,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team in Basingstoke. This is a full-time, permanent role offering excellent work-life balance with a Monday-to-Friday schedule. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct pre-MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for testing.
- Replace worn or damaged parts such as brakes, suspension components, and exhaust systems.
- Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, meeting safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time taken.
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical information clearly to clients when required.
- Ensure workshop tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of work.
- A valid UK driving licence.
