We are working with one of the largest automotive dealer groups in South Wales and the West of England who are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join their successful service department.
Vehicle Technician Requirements:
- As the Vehicle Technician you will be part of a team achieving total customer satisfaction
- Accurately and skillfully undertake the repair and service of motor vehicles
- Detect and diagnose any additional work required
- Carry out work in a safe manner, complying with retailer and manufacturer industry guidelines.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI’s, Service reports) in line with warranty and dealership requirements.
- You will ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
- Work with other workshop and dealership colleagues to provide excellent customer service, share best practice when appropriate.
In order to be successful for this position, you will:
- Have NVQ level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or IMI level equivalent.
- Have previous experience in a similar role
- MOT Certified would be preferred but not essential.
- Be organised and have a good attention to detail
- Be able to work as part of a team in a busy environment
- Be efficient and competent at fault finding
- You must have a full, clean driving licence.
